About Our Program
Our CNA program teaches students how to provide high-quality patient-centered care with a focus on compassion, respect, and professionalism. The program's curriculum is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skillset needed to deliver quality care to patients in and emphasizes the importance of professionalism, including the importance of maintaining confidentiality, communicating effectively with patients and other healthcare professionals, and exhibiting ethical behavior. By focusing on both compassion and professionalism, the HEART Academy’s CNA program prepares students for successful careers by ensuring they have the necessary skills and qualities to succeed in the healthcare industry.
Upon successful completion of our program, students will receive a certificate and be eligible to take the Nurse Aide Competency Evaluation performed by Prometric. After successful completion of evaluation, will be certified and registered as a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) in the state of Louisiana.
Class Schedules
Day Classes
3 week training course which includes 40 hours of classroom instruction and 40 hours of clinical experience.
Classroom training is offered Monday through Thursday from 9:00am to 3:00pm for 2 weeks (4 days a week)
Clinical training is conducted Monday through Friday (5 days) during week 3,*clinical hours subjected to change based on facility availability*
Night Classes
5 week training course which includes 40 hours of classroom instruction and 40 hours of clinical experience.
Classroom training is offered in the evenings on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30pm to 10:00pm for 4 weeks (2 days a week)
Clinical training is conducted Monday through Friday (5 days) during week 5, *clinical hours subjected to change based on facility availability*
